97 Dakota 3.9 engine begin to stall

My 97 Dakota w/ almost 90K miles is running pretty good. Lately it is giving me a sign... When I go from Drive to Park, the rpm goes to below 200 and comes back to normal idling but occasionally the engine quits. Is this a sign of major engine problem ahead?
