What ia rack and pinion? And how do you know when one is needed ? Also dose a 92 GP LE 3.1 have a elec. push button control in the turn signal switch?

the rack and pinion are what turns your wheels when you turn your steering wheel. quite costly.
if they start leaking, you might neeed a knew one.
other than that i am not good at diagnosing a bad one.
