Offset
Does anyone know what offset is need for either 17x7 or 17x7.5 for a del sol vtec with neuspeed koni yellow, neuspeed race springs with an ingalles camber kit? A person from Neuspeed told me i would need a 48 mm off set so there is no rubbing??? That sounds high....

45 is optimal, but running those widths, that is a safe number.
45-48.

Yes you will never have a problem with rubbing.

Eh Dezoris I don't know. I had a 17x7.5" wheel with a 44mm offset and 205/40x17" tires and they rubbed on the inner fenderwells. A 48mm offset would be worse than a 44mm.
For a 17x7" I recommend 42-44mm offset for a 17x7.5" I recommend a 42-43 offset.

Thats cool, but technically why would the lower offset be better, spell it out for me.
Also when you said rubbing you mean cruising straight or on turning? I am not being a bitch I just want to hear your opinion.

ha ha!
![]() Skid pad is all relative, increasing slalom speed is a better goal , sometimes skid pad #s are not what to aim for, and picking the right rim and tire are only the first step ![]() I think SiRacer will agree there

yes i also agree there but i just want to be over 1 g on a skid pad it is just a personal goal of mine, but salom speed is more real life. i understand that and in that i want to get around 70 plus but there will be alot more mods done to accomplish that but for now i am just trying to get an off set to figure out my plan of attack for wheels and tires
Also i guess how i am doing my car is a little different than how most please start, my suspension and braking is being address before engine and cosmetics i would sooner handle better than deal with the dumbass stop light dragers in my town, becasue we all know that the stop light drager have for the most part no skill it take skill to know how to use your car at the limit correctly and that is what i wish to learn if that makes any sence to anyone here |

On a Civic with 17x7" rims with 205/40 tires should be a 42-44mm offset. Anything larger (ie: 45, 46, 47mm offset) would start hitting the inside fenderwell and suspension components. A Civic with a 17x7.5" rims with 205/40x17" tires should be a 42-43mm offset cause as you get wider you need to go lower with the offset (ie: 40, 38, 36mm offset).
