Question about installing speakers
First of all, I would like to say that I know next to nothing about speakers and such, so any input will be appreciated. Ok. I was wondering if I could just cut the wires on my stock speakers and install new speakers using those wires. Is it possible to do that, or is using an amp and batteries and what not the better way to go?

Re: Question about installing speakers
What speakers are you replacing? What are you replacing them with? and yes, to run speakers off of your h/u you can use the stock wiring.

Re: Question about installing speakers
run new wires unless your stock one's are pretty beastly. Also if you have a factory amp you can't do this.

Anyways, To answer your question, as stated above you CAN do what you wanted. However, going with aftermarket speakers (especially components) will give you INFINITELY better sound (when used in conjuction with an amp!). peace NG |

Re: Question about installing speakers
again, what speakers are you planning on replacing, and how much you plan to spend?
