"91 Lesabre speed sensor?

My '91 likes to buck and cut out on the hiway, and occasionally die slowing for corners. I never get a CE light on the OBD I , but do have a code 39 (TCC) in store, I know TCC solenoid is acting up. but also does this in 2nd gear when TCC clutch is locked out. Any ideas what could be the cause? What are the symptoms of faulty speed sensor? Thanks, Huey

It is strange that nobody has stumbled onto a cure for this condition, considering how many threads have been posted concerning these symptoms. I think maybe the only solution may be to junk it, since the cost of some of the other possibilities would exceed the value of the car. Seems like it should be something simple, but I've run out of ideas. huey

Sad to say, but I had an 89 that was the perfect older car until it started acting like that. Would stall when turning, parking, or driving down the road with no warning. I had codes that listed TCC, speed sensor, and cam sensor, and I could never get to the bottom of the problem. Replacing the cam sensor did nothing, and since it was an older car with 215K on it, amd my plans only called for keeping it for two years(drove it for almost 2 years when it started this) I opted to sell it to a fellow who needed an engine for his. Probably severe transmission electrical problems or short circuit(s) that would have been a long time in finding or paying for....
