Rims Help Pleaseeeeeeeeee

I have a honda 2000 LX 4 cyc I currently have the stock 15 inch hubcaps on it im looking to upgrade to 17 alloys tire 205/50 17 inch tires. here are the tires im looking to purchase Kumho ECSTA ASX as I read I hear alot of good things for the price. I have a few questions does anyone no if these tires are any good and worth the money? Will 17 inch alloy rims effect the ride in anyway. Will the size effect the performance of the car or do any damage??? Sorry for being so slow with this I dont no much when it comes to rims all help is appreciated thanks in advance.

They're good tires, I used to have the same ones. I'm a big fan of Kumho. The 17s will affect your ride. Your car will have slower acceleration due to the larger heavier rims and you will have a bumper ride due to the low profile tires. (not too bad though since you're getting 50 series)

50 series tires are going to throw your speedo waaaaay off.

Re: Rims Help Pleaseeeeeeeeee

I second I have 205/50/15 and they are not accurate as far as the exact diameter, If you have the same height tire on a wheel that is 2 inches bigger it will make a huge difference. Not to mention look really weird.

i have 17" wheels on my 95 honda civic and my car rides bumpy and grabs any groove in the road making it hard to steer.

thats more of a tire size and tread pattern problem. wider tires and some tread patterns tend to track worse than others. Thats why I'm still debating on whether getting Bridgestone S-03s or not because I have been told by a few people that those tires track really bad.
