Camrys are very good cars and in this accident I think it is what saved my mom's life. She was involved in an accident about 2 weeks ago now in her camry. She was driving down the road, she saw a gas station, put her blinker to signal, slowed down to pull into the gas station on the right, guy in minivan behind her wasnt paying attention and, BAM! plows into the back of her car. She was hit while making the right into the gas station, so she flew a lil through the driveway/entrance to the gas station, ran over a fence, car flew straight into a tree, and after hitting the tree, her car fell. Her car litteraly hit the tree in mid air. The driveway/entrance was at a slight uphil, which is why her car flew up in the air.
She was on her way back from picking up my dog at the grooming place. During the accident, of course my dog was in the car too. After the tree impact, the dog flew to the front, broke the front windshield. She was startled (my mom) and opened the door because she didnt realize the smoke in the car was air bag dust. Upon opening her door, my dog zoomed out of the car, and was never seen again. I did loose my dog in this accident but my mom was lucky to be alive with only a few bruises. She now wants a new camry but most likely a 4Runner. Just thought I'd share this with you guys. Sorry for the bore. Here are some pictures. Hopefully my doggy turns up one day. We miss her! Rear impact really bent the back of my mom's frame.

Glad to hear your mother wasn't badly injured. Looks like a serious impact from the appearace of the front of the car.

Thank God your mom is OK. Definitely a shame about your dog though. It is amazing how these things happen and how they work out, isn't it? Well, she'll be enjoying a new vehicle soon so that may be some consolation. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

My family has gone through two accidents with Camry's and we have always come out fine. Safe cars. Good to hear about your mother. Sorry about your dog.
