Funny Noise

The other day I was driving back from work and I stopped at a light and I was sitting there and I started to hear this really strange noise. It sounded a lot like a noisy hamster wheel if you've ever heard one of those before. Anywho the light turned green and I went and the noise stopped completley. I got home and I pulled into the garage and I heard the noise again so I put it in park to try and figure out where it was coming from and the noise stopped. I was like WTF. So I got back in and put it in gear and the noise came back, I tried neutral and it's there too.

The next day I figured I'd try and figure it all out and I pulled out of the garage and no noise until I got on the brakes before putting it in drive. So I went inside and got my little brother and told him to sit in the car with the brakes on in reverse so I could hear where the noise is coming from. It's coming from the front passenger side. This is the side the trans. is on right??? The trans. fluid hasn't been changed since I got the car and it is on my list of things to do next week so should that help with this goofy noise??? If not does anyone have any ideas what this could be??? Everything seems perfectly normal with the car otherwise...it's not effecting performance at all. Thanks for any help. By the way it's an A/T GSX
