Someone smashed my passenger window on my 96 integra ls. Today when I was leaving to school around 6:30 I went to my car and then I saw the window all broken and I was like what the f**k. So I called the police so then they came and wrote me a report so the insurance will pay for it. The cop told me that Acura's in general, Honda Accords, and Toyota Camry are the most stolen cars in Newark. But yeah the person that smashed my window open like opened all the departments but didn’t take anything even my deck. The cop said that the guy got freighting and left because the security lights of ours spooked him away when it turned on. But I doubt it was someone trying to jack my shit, I bet it was some teenager that did it on fucking purpose. The passenger window is made out of a different type of glass compared to house windows so you can’t really hear it when it breaks. This is like the gayest shit ever because I doubt the insurance would pay for it and it would cost around 300 to 400 dollars to fix and there's only a deductible. I told the cop about what happen in the summer when some random person threw the rock at the house window, but he thinks it has little to do with what happen this morning. He thinks someone really tried to steal my car, but I really doubt it since I know people out there, that is jealous and straight up messed up who just did it to be f**ked up. When they see the person all hurt and crap it makes them feel good. Dang I can’t get my window fixed until my parents come back. I took pictures of it so I could post them.

Breathe easy friend. Next step go to a junkyard, and get a replacement window, much cheaper than factory OEM. That's only if insurance won't pay for it. I got a window for my 95 accord (also had it smashed, someone stole my stereo) it cost me about $65. It's pretty easy to install one. all I had to do was take the interior door panel off, and then raise the window so I could bolt the new one in after taking the old pieces out. It stilll really sucks to find your car like that.... Trust me, I know. Goodluck with that.

A scene I know all too well. Sorry to hear about that I know how you feel. pepsihatman has the right idea though, go to the junkyard and buy a window and put it in yourself.

Looks like the drivers side to me :0. but yeah, if you're talking about Newark, NJ...97% sure they were trying to steal your car. Camden/Newark/Trenton are the prime areas where tegs get stolen. they must of been spoked. look on the bright side, car is still there,.

Oh just wanted to correct something, I live in Newark California. I think I ruin the power windows because I was making it go up and down and then it just stopped working. It also got jammed into something.

By the way when I was driving to my neighbor hood liquor today, the store clerk saw my car and asked me what happen and I told him how someone broke my window. Then he said yesterday someone broke in his car and stole his $300 deck and $600 worth of speakers, subs, and amps. And his car was parked right next to the store too and it got jacked in the daytime. So yeah after thinking about it, it wasn't that bad how someone broke my window. Plus superbluecivicsi had his window was broken four times and someone from Honda tech got his JDM Integra Stolen. Maybe the guy that broke into my car thought my deck in my car was a piece of shit and decided not to jack it, but you never know. I have an Alpine by the way.

Hey man if you think thats bad, my car was stolen the week before christmas, they jacked all my shit (over $3000 worth) but my cai and left my sunroof and windows open in the rain. when i got it back it was on 4 donuts and my windows still dont work. both my motors were messed up and my interior smelled like shit. dont worry about the window. do like pepsihatman said and get a new one from the junkyard. dealers will overcharge the hell out of you.

You need to invest in a alarm, one with a motion sensor.

Tell me what do you guys think about the Viper 791 XV 2 way Car Alarm/Remote Start System? I don't get how it would start my car because my car is manual.

thats the alarm i got. its well worth the money. it works very well but make sure you buiy it from a place where install is included in price b/c that can be very expensive

i forgot to mention that an installer won't put remote start on a manual b/c its illegal. at least its illegal here in georgia. you might have to get that installed seperatly by someone who can do it when they aren't on the clock. you also might be able to find do-it-yourself instructions on google or something. if you get it installed, you have to leave your car in nuetral for it to work.

because you're car will roll if its in gear(even if the ebrake is up).
i got the 690xv.. same thing, just doesnt have remote start

They make a mercury/ motion switch for alarms, you can hook that up to a relay to kill the fuel pump if teh car starts to move. But you will have to do this your self, the shop won't do it.
