Question Question about priming

Hi I primed my door today and my gun was [producing a lot of over spray and they look like crumbs on my car and after I got done priming it look like concrete. Basically, the pimer wasn't laying smooth. There werre alot of crumbs sticking to car before I got to that side to prime. What is the best way to stop this. SHould spray from farther cuz I sprayed it about 3-4 inches from the car. I know I mied the primer right so I dont know what is going on

Re: Question about priming

The primer is drying in the air. Therfore there may be too much reducer, or the wrong kind. Also, whats your working pressure?
