oil pressure

hi there, i just bought a 95 talon tsi awd with 88 thds miles yesterday for 2500. car seems to be in great shape, ran well on a 30 mile trip to the house clean interior blah blah. question is oil pressure gauge shows absolutley 0, cams look as if they are getting oil and there seems to be a leak around the valve cover on the left side.... 1 wire is hangging down near the oil filter.. it has 2 sensors 1 which is small in dia 1 which is larger.... which sensor is which. thx in advance.

The wire that is disconected is more then likely for your oil pressure. It goes to the oil pressure gauge unit (the biger one) on the oil filter bracket.

Re: oil pressure

The forward (raditator side) sender is for the idiot light, the rearward one is for the guage. It has a piece of shit connector that slides on sideways, and easily falls off. I forget which is the smaller/larger, but hopefully this helps you figure it out anyway without mysteriously offending anyone.

Re: oil pressure

The both thread into the oil filter housing, which is just forward of the crank pulley.
