E-Mails from Nigerian bankers who have millions of dollars for you

Well I've been getting a lot lately, so I think I'm gonna screw with this guy a little bit. Here's the original and my first response. If all goes well, more fun will follow.

Dear Sir,
I crave your indulgence as I contact you in such a
surprising manner
and I want you to bear in mind that this is not a hoax
mail but I
respectfully insist you read this mail carefully as I
am optimistic it will open door for unimaginable
financial reward for both of us.
I am Barrister Nana Yaw,the personal attorney to my
late client, a foreigner.
A national of your country,He was a
contractor with shell development oil company,
On the 21st of April 2003, my client, his wife and
their
one child were involved in a ghastly auto accident
along Shagamu
Express Road,unfortunately,all occupants of the
vehicle lost their lives,Sincethen I have made several
enquiries to locate any of my client's extended
relatives and this has been unsuccessful.
After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided
to contact you since i am unable to locate any member of his
family,I am contacting you to assist in repatrating the
money left behind by my client before they get
confisicated or declared unserviceable by GLOBAL BANK
OF NIG.PLC. where this huge amount US7.5million were
lodged.
The bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of
kin/Relative or
have the account confiscated within the next 10
banking days.
Since I have been unsuccesfull in locating the the
relatives for over
one year now, I seek your consent to present you as the
next of
kin/Relative of the deceased since you have the same
last name so that this US7.5 million can be
transferred into your account and then you and I will
share this fund according to the ratio of,
40% will be given to you for your assistance,
60% will be for me.
All I require is your honest co-operation to
enable us see that this transaction succeeds.
Send me your fax and phone numbers for easier communication.
Thanks.
BARRISTER NANA YAW(Esq).

Dear Mr. Yaw,
I am very excited to hear that you have such a large sum of money waiting for me. I was not aware that one of my relative died, what was his full name? It's amazing that a man of such prestige with the Shell Development Oil Company could have no known relatives. I was never aware that one of my kin worked there, although I never paid much attention to the Shell Development Oil Company (I will now, though).
By the way, where is Shagamu Express Road? The name seems to ring a bell, but I can't pinpoint the exact location.
Please send me your phone number as soon as possible so we can complete this transaction.

Sincerely,
Dr. James Zele, Esq. (Ret.)

Apparently these scams have been operating for well on 2+ decades now (originally through the mail.) Nigeria has its hands full with these things, and has set up task forces to deal with them. Unfortunately, these scam artists give the entire country a very bad reputation -- and that is most definately a concern for the Nigerian government.

I can't believe you actually got one of those things It's been such a heavily utilized system, and yet I've never received even one When do I get a shot at my millions? Hehe. I like how the lawyer used the term GHASTLY to describe the accident. Who the hell uses that term in a "professional" letter?

I tried toying with them before, but all they did was give instructions and ignore anything I asked. It was dumb, I blocked them.

Re: E-Mails from Nigerian bankers who have millions of dollars for you

I usually don't mess with the email's. However, I did screw with telemarketer the other night.

He called and said he was from a charity selling meat raffle tickets. Now, I am a meat-lover and decided to have some fun. So I told him I was a card carrying member of PETA and responsed to him that I had his telephone number (call display!!) and will be doing a quick 5 min. search to find his address. Then I told him to expect a few of the local membership of PETA to pay his house a visit within the next week to protest his support of the meat industry (in their usual way!! red spray paint, I think ...) I heard a few seconds of silence, then CLICK !!!!
