2000 JGC Passenger mirror replacement

I just got a new passenger side power mirror for my 2000 JGC. Does anyone know if it is easier to replace teh whole mirror and housing, or just remove the actual mirror and attach to existing housing on truck?

Not ready to pop the door paneloff if I don't have too, those clips bust real easy in the cold.

Thanks

If your real careful you can pop them in and out without a problem.

I broke 4 mirrors trying to pop them in and out.
The guy who did it for me popped it in 1st try.

Re: 2000 JGC Passenger mirror replacement

There are replacement mirror inserts that can be bought and stuck to the remaining parts of the old mirror with doublesided tape. That will do you till it warms up and you can work in comfort with out snappin the clips.

If you have the whole unit, it is likely easier to replace the whole thing rather than doing two disassemblies and a reassembly of the mounted mirror. In any case, I think you will have to remove the door panel.
