RAP Wire Color
Does anyone know what color the RAP ignition wire is under the dash?
I'm installing a XM Radio unit and want to go to RAP rather than just ignition hot. |

Re: RAP Wire Color
Retained Accessory Power? I'd just connect to the factory radio power wire that will give you power at on, acc, and the RAP function also. The again maybe I'm not getting this question right.

I was trying to avoid having go deeper into the dash to get to the exisiting radio power wire...was hoping to get the color so as to get to it in the main bundle right under the steering wheel. I've located the regular hot ignition wire in that bundle, but not the RAP lead. Thanks again |

Re: RAP Wire Color
Looking at diagram for a 93 Camaro, might be the same. Hot at all times to module is a red wire to term C. From switch to module is a brown wire to term D. From module, dark blue wire at term. B, de-enerigizes when door opens. From module, term A a pink wire that stays energized for 30 seconds after doors are closed. E term. black is ground and G term gray/black is input from door jamb switch. The pink wire goes to the power accessory fuse. Sometimes you can pick up a power feed pretty easy from the fuse box if you probe it with a voltmeter. Anyway, hope this helps.
