Unhappy 96 tracker wont turn over since I replaced the head gasket??

I replaced the headgasket put it all back together and Nothing.I have dash lights gauges,radio,heater, can hear fuel pump run but try to start it and nothing.Doesnt turn over.Do I need to some how reset the cump. if so how?????? I unhooked the pos.battery post before I started to tear it apart.What am I missing???????A wires seem to be pluged in. Battery is good.HELP PLEASE I don't want the nitemare of tearing it apart again to redo every thing.

Do you have a signal at the starter when you crank the key?
Are you able to manually rotate the engine(with a socket on the crank pully)?
And are you sure the timing belt is put on correctly?

Yes it turns fine with socket on the crank.timing belt can be twisted about half twist.I dont know about the starter.If i turn the key to start i have everything inside working normal but nothing under the hood but the sound of the fuel.TY for your responce.
