cheap but fast import?

well i have again cant figure out what to get for my first car.
i have swaped back and forth from domestic and import and truck to cars, street to offroad, etc

i just want to get a import that can be baught cheap, modded easily, and can get fairly great acceleration (i drive around town and every once in a while have to drive down to the coast so i want more acceleration then top end (it isnt going over 130km/h till i get rid of my L and N ) i have looked at the simple ones like the civics and crxs but all one worth starting with are already taken already or already modded. id rather have a standard then auto because of the need of using it for driving family members vehicles (most are standard)

so what would you get for a starter car for under 2 grand for a 16 year old?

Re: cheap but fast import?

listen up, for 2gs you aint gonna find any decent "fast" cars, most for 2gs are high mileage, dont waste your money, wait till you graduate and your parents would help you find a better used car because they will help you afford it, trust me, dont waste the 2g, save it up, if you're on low budget, dont even bother modding the car, wait till you get a job, etc, and decent pay

Re: cheap but fast import?

the fastest thing i can think of for 2 thousand would be an old taurus SHO...lol...i've seen some go for 1800 on autotrader.com...but they had like 150,000 miles....just get a cheap junker for 500 bucks and wait till you get out of college and get a car worth your time and effort....
