How do I put in the indiglow gauge cluster for 91 Probe

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing with the car most of the time when it comes to the mechanical area. I bought an indiglow gauge cluster for the speedometer and what not and I don't know how to take off the dash board trim and anything else I might need 2 take off. Can anyone help me out?

Does anyone know how much it might cost to have the gauge cluster installed by a mechanic?

hey, if you get a service manual, it should show you how to install it step by step. im pretty sure it's just some screws, take the plastic off, then put on the new gauges. could be wrong though. don't take it to a mechanic, there gonna rip you off. probily.

Re: How do I put in the indiglow gauge cluster for 91 Probe

Well I installed the cluster but some of my gauges dont work correctly and I couldn't get the wiring correct for the indiglo. I hooked the wiring up on the RPM side where a red and black cable are. So i hooked the ground to the black and the red to the othe red, but it didn't work. So if im doing something wrong with the wiring by all means help me out.

hey i dont know if ya know this but when u put them gauges in make sure u pay close attention to where the needles are and dont put them in unless ur car has been sitting a wile and is all the way cooled down i say that because from the time u stop ur car and start installing u dont want ur needles to read diffrent becuase ur car is cooler then before also after u get off the plastic shield take like a light pencil something u can see and can also wipe off and turn ur key to battery so that all ur gauges read something and mark above and below the needle this is y ur car need to be all the way cooled down so the temp. gauge wont change it reading in between gauge clusters o on a diffrent note make sure that u connect the wires tight the come lose easy

i just had to let ya know because i have two friends that instaled these gauges in there Mx6 and my one friend didnt make sure to look at his needles and his gauges are still fucked now also they both ran into the problem of the wires commin loose

hope u get them in good because they are sweet in the end

Yeah I just didnt put the needle through the one thing that makes it move so that was no problem. My wiring I figured out because I realized I had the ground wire connection wrong. So now everything works good only thing is that the indiglo is always on since I didn't hook it up directly to the headlights.
