s-10 capacities

Just got a couple of questions. Just bought 95 S-10 s/b for daughter but no manual came with vehicle and am curious of gas tank capacity, oil capacity, etc. Those are the most important to me so if anyone knows what they are I would appreciate it. It was on full (gas) and I put in 8.5 gallon and it went waaay past the full mark so I don't know if the gauge is correct

If all the capacities are the same as a '94 with the 2.2 (and I'm assuming they are)(because I own a '94), then a complete coolant change is 5 gallons, fuel is 20 gallons, oil change is 4.25 quarts.

Re: s-10 capacities

if it is an automatic transmission, smell the fluid and do a change if it smells burned, if its a stick, your daughter is awsome for driving a std transmission, ive heard a lot of people have head gasket problems with the 2.2L but other people here will tell you otherwise, so i think its just a luckey/unluckey situation

Last time I checked, which was pretty recently, the coolant capacity was 5 gallons. Either way, I think he should get atleast 2 gallons of unmixed coolant, and mix it accordingly.

I know that my 85 2.8L only takes around 3 gallons, but I do agree with you the best is buy 2 gallons unmixxed, then mix it all.... fill the system after you flush it, and you still have an extra gallon when you (or someone else) needs it.

I have the book for my 95 S-10 2.2l. The capacity is 11L or 11.5 quarts for coolant.

The book doesnt say the capacity of the manual transmission
does anyone know?
