does anyone know why?

I've got a 2000 Honda Civic Lx with a manual transmission and about 90,000 miles. After it runs for awhile, sometimes it likes to stall at stoplights and while I'm coming around a curve and pressing in the clutch. I can tell when it's about to do this because it idles under 500 rpm. Does anyone know why it does this?

Re: does anyone know why?

same thing used to happen in mine. pop the hood and take off the filter box (it just slides off fairly easy after you remove the screw on the left side), on the throttle body there is a little black tab, take that off and under it is a flat-head screw. with the car running and warmed up turn the screw ccw to increase the idle speed. should be a quick fix like that, otherwise check out/clean/replace the IACV

Re: does anyone know why?

if that doesnt work, check your plug wires, plugs, cap, rotor, vacuum leaks at the fpr, intake mani (kinda extreme, but, will cause it), and go get a valve adjustment if you havnt done it yet at 90k. actually, these should already been done by 90k.

it sounds like you may have an ignition arch somewhere...check all ignition parts, could even be a fuel pump going bad.....
i used to work on a lot of hondas, and that was a frequent concern...also like civicx said, your IAC maybe dirty, bad, or going bad...
