Stalling - Help Please

This morning I jumped in may car and to my supprise it stalled.. It acted like it wanted to turn over but then died. I tryed about 2 more times and still nothing. I finaly got frustrated and started my car and slamed on the gas. after it reved to about 5 grand I let off. I gave it about 30 seconds to make sure that it wasn't going to die (becuse God knows its better for it to die in my driveway then on the highway) and it sounded like it was trying all that it could just to keep going.. The thing that kinda confuses me is that there seems to no real rythem to it. It could happen first thing in the morning. then not do it for a day to two. then do it right after I have been driving then cut the car off .. like to get gas or something.

Let me know what you think..
Thanks
MaX

Re: Stalling - Help Please

fuel pump working on n off? if it's off rhythm maybe one of the cylinders isn't turning on - turn the engine on and take off the plugs and see if maybe one isn't going off, or if one is slower than the others to make it shut off

what i think he trying to say is start ur car and pull the spark plug wire loose from the spark plug about a inch and listen for the plug n wire making contact.. u will here electrical tapping and if one of ur cylinders are dead or misfiring u hear a faint tap or none at all. im confusing myself with my wording but im sure u understand good luck man

Re: Stalling - Help Please

no no, your not only listening for tapping your seeing if the idle changes, because if 1 cylinder isnt working removing the spark plug wire wont change the idle

Yes when its idling it does change. the tac gets so low that it looks like its on zero rpms but it doesnt die. - I thought I would look and see if my ECU gives me a code. but all I get is the light comes on then goes off.. and thas it
