Mazda worth fixing?

I got a mazda 626 year is 1996. Looks like Im gonna need a new transmissioin in the car. Is it worth replacing or just getting another car? I have a system in the car, exhaust, chip, intake, aftermarket spark plugs, spark plug wires, distriubtor cap, distributor rotor. Would it be worth selling the car for what I can get for it or replace the tranny at this point? Get back to me please.

Re: Mazda worth fixing?

hard to make that call without seeing it or knowing the mileage etc. I just blue booked mine on the web it is worth retailed at about $4900 but that is in good or excellent condition115000 miles.....but I bought it originally for 500 dollars and it needed a trans(go figure) and to be completely truthful all the add-ons you listed does not really add to the value of the car.....

Tough call, the auto trannys for this car aren't very reliable.

Re: Mazda worth fixing?

if you plan on modding this car for performance(and looks like you may be starting), I wouldnt dump money into an automatic tranny. Especially for this car (not so great trannys)

I would just get another car.
