Cone Filter Intake
has anyone that replaced their stock box with a K&N type cone intake seen a difference in gas mileage? I did a search on this but didnt really find anything regarding fuel economy improvements.

Re: Cone Filter Intake
It is really not meant for fuel economy.
More for better airflow for more power. Remember, always upgrade your muffler before you upgrade the intake.

Re: Re: Cone Filter Intake
I could use more HIGH END power. Low end is fine. I would probably benefit more from a wire/plug/cap/rotor replacement instead.

Re: Cone Filter Intake
Always update the muffler first. It is the weak link in the performance chain. THEN, add an intake. The engine is a glorified air pump and if it cannot get rid of the air it uses, it can't intake as much air either.
And yes, a tuneup is always a smart thing to do.
