Does anyone know if this kit (Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II) has an engine in it?

Use the search function in the Completed and in Progress section. There's a whole bunch of them.

You can go to www.1999.co.jp, they have pictures of assembly guide for almost all of the models available so you will find the one with engine (I think this one is without engine to).

It's kind of amusing, you keep asking us questions about kits that have been answered a thousand times on here

I have to say though, USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, it is your friend. I've used it countless times for decals, paints, etc etc. Also, by doing this you'll not annoy Freakray |

> tardster The only useable RB26 motors are Tamiya's R32 GT-R and its Gr.A racing variations. Aoshima does make R32 GT-R with a motor, and they also released the same parts tree as a separate engine kit, but it's only the top half, and the complete motor assembly of Tamiya wins hands down. Since Tamiya's R32 isn't too expensive, it's better buying a whole kit, and use the engine for whatever the project you're working on. Then, the remaining parts can be used to make a curbside R32 model. |

Ok so what your saying is I should get both kits and put the motor from the gtr in the spec2 correct, sorry just double checking. Also im sorry I asked a question thats been asked before guys I did look real fast in the faq's but it didnt quite give me what I was looking for and by asking here in this thread I have gotten several differant options now. Ive been doing models for close to 25 years now and never once when someone has asked me hey how did you do that even though i've heard the question before, never once did I ever tell them hey go look in the faq's. To me thats just rude and could scare new builders off but thats just me and I dont mind helping people even if I get asked the same question a few times.

Re: Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II
It's not being rude when we say "Use the Search feature". It's there to benefit all of us. These questions have been asked hundreds of times. Especially those pertaining to the RB26DETT.
So that a future question may be answered. Yes, I would recommend buying both kits but be forewarned. Swapping the RB26 into the R34 isn't going to be a simple plug and play. To achieve a realistic engine bay a fair amount of scratchbuilding is going to be involved. I would highly recommend clicking in HiroBoy's link to see what steps he took. Good luck.
