venom 400 installation

How do i install venom controle module on to my accord 97 LX?
One wire goes in to MAP sensor, other one goes in to TP signal sensor. They both got three wires on them(sensors) Wich ones do i use? I tried to install it but the module lemp is always on. It supposed to be on only when i rev. I cant feel any extra hp. What did i do wrong?

Re: venom 400 installation

Well first of all not to make you feel bad but those things are pretty crappy. The person who had my ex's eclipse before she got it put one on, your not really going to feel a bunch of power and hers started acting up after a while causing the engine to stumble on its face at low rpms, but anyway.

Are you sure you have the unit hooked up to the tps wire and not another wire? or maybe have the tps and map wires backwards? The light should come on depending on how much throttle your giving it so thats what is making me think it might be hooked up to a wire that is always giving enough of a current for the module to think the throttle is open pretty wide. Hope this helps at least a little bit.

Re: venom 400 installation

Throw it in the trash, or return it if you still have your reciept and can...all it does is fool your tps into thinking the gas pedal is depressed further than it is. Do a search on it if you don't believe me. You get the same result from pressing the gas down further yourself. Sorry to say, but it is a junk mod.

Re: venom 400 installation

If you want some electronic control over your engine, talk to the lovely people over at hondata. Either that or ive heard some good things about greddy emanage which is a piggyback system that lets you control your fuel, ignition, etc.

Basicaly those kind of things dont work well, there is no such thing as a universal horsepower adder that works effectively as far as electronics are concerned, they have to be tuned for each individual car, even the same models.

*EDIT* Before you do a mod to your car its a good idea to post it up in a forum like this just to get an idea of how well it works because theres bound to be at least one person who has either had the mod or knows someone who had, were here to help!
