Smile AC Problems

My Expedition started makeing a fluttering like noice that I thought something might of been cought in the blower(squirl cage) then the wife said the heater wasn't working then next day it did. then this fluttering noise was gets louder.I thought blend door at first but when I move the temp. control, I do hear what I think is the door moving.then noticed I can only get cold air out of the cabin part of the AC no heat at all. no matter which control I use for it.my wife says if it is makeing the noise while she is driving, she can floor it(ha ha) and the noise will stop. thats where I think it might be these vacume hoses I read in a later thread.I looked alittle for them and didn't really see the hoses. I hope someone could help me and hope its not the blend door.thanks, Tork

Heat/AC problem

My 99 EB does the same thing but without the noise. Had someone tell me it was the vaccuum hose and I can hear the cracked, loss of suction, behind the dash but cant seem to get to it. Any one have an idea on how to get back there? I have taken the center portion of the dash out and removed the climate control but there is still more to remove and don't want to attempt without schematic or drawings. any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
