Codes P0141 & P0161
I just discovered this website and it's fantastic!
Well, I just got the Suburban smogged here in California and everything passed except the Functional Check. The 2 codes pulled: P0141 : O2 Sensor Heater Fault (Bank 1 Sensor 2) P0161 : O2 Sensor Heater Fault (Bank 2 Sensor 2) My questions are: Does this mean that my Burb has 2 O2 sensors? And, what am I looking at in terms of cost of repair? Thank you in advance. p.s. My wife just told me the Service Engine Soon light has been on for about a week. Ugh! - |

Re: Codes P0141 & P0161
All "V" style engine have at least 2 O2 sensors. Some have 4, pre-cat and post-cat. Yours has 4. Your post-cat O2 sensors (bank 1&2, sensor 2) may be bad, or there may be a mechanical problem. I'd go to your local parts store for pricing, as it varies from area to area.

Re: Codes P0141 & P0161
I just checked the local Autozone and I'm looking at about $70 a pop. At least it's a pretty easy fix. Thanks again.
