you could try ebay but i wouldnt reccommend there because i have been ripped off a few times. you can get a d15 for somewhere around 500-700 dollars but if you are looking for a larger engine like a gsr or something be prepared to pay prices up to around 6k

$6K for a gsr? Hope you're kidding. More like $3K+

Re: v-tec engine & trany

Depends on which one you get. The only one that is worth much is the jdm D15b vtec, but it only has 5 hp more than your stock motor. So the question is, are you just replacing a damaged engine, no engine currently in your car, or are you looking for more power? If you're looking for more power, then you should look at either a turbo kit for your stock engine, or a B-series engine swap; because you already have the most powerful stock D-series for the generation of your car.

Re: v-tec engine & trany

the jdm D15b "VTEC" would be cool. or a b series "VTEC" in fact any "VTEC" would be cool. do you get the point that its "VTEC"? (not v-tec)

Re: v-tec engine & trany

Then you should consider the B16a or B18c (GS-R). Check out www.hmotorsonline.com and www.passwordjdm.com. You'll want the complete swap; engine, tranny, ecu, axles, mounts, etc.
