rattle from sliding door window area-2003

I lost count on how many time I have had dealer trouble shoot and "fix" my door rattle problem. It is fine on smooth roads. Now in winter on rougher roads it sounds like my door is not latched, or passenger window is rattling.
They have alligned door latch/plate, replaced foam seal many times, aligned door track, opened panel to the right of passenger ear--to tie up wires etc.
I read someone said it may be rear shocks?? 36,100 miles on 2003 Venture extended length vehicle.
Any ideas, obviously the dealer has tried it all to have it fixed until I drive out of parking lot. Now 100 miles out of warranty but 8 visits to dealership for problem so well documented. I just hate driving once a foucs on rattle noise.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: rattle from sliding door window area-2003

OK, I'll tell you what I found on my 2000 Venture passenger sliding door / window rattle. I had the same rattle issue, intermittant. Driving us nuts at highway speeds. Turns out that one adjusting bolt for a roof rack cross-beam was loose, allowing the cross-beam to rattle in the track. It sounded just like it was coming from the door, since the loose bolt was just over the door. Tightened it up, and no more rattle. If you have a roof rack, check these bolts out. They should be tightened up from time to time anyway.
