Lights gone wild!

I have a situation that has baffled some of the best gear-heads in my area.
#1- I have no dash lights (Speedo, fuel gauge and temp gauge)
#2- the green Lcd(?) lights are bright in the dark and dim in sunlight!
#3- When running during daylight (Switch off) the running lights are on the dim (outside lights) not on low votage hi-beam!
#4- If I rapidly pull & Push the headlamp switch the service engine soon light appears breifly.
#5- When turning switch to acc or on, the battery and security light show up intermidiate.
Now, the only thing I have done is have a set of high output lamps installed (hi-beam only)
When the problem first started we unistalled them and replaced with originals. Problem still there!

what year are you talking about ? Do you have auto lights or old switch you say push and pull

i just got a 00 impala LS its got the old school push and pull headlight switch
