emissions failed 1 test 85 Olds cutlass supreme

Hello everybody

Can someone help me please.. I went through emissions the other day it passed well on all but nox emissions...I do need a tune up for sure...what else should I have done to my car just to lower it about 101 points or whatever it's called...I just need my baby to pass this year then she is good for 2 years...by then she should be exempt from having to do this emissions stuff again...

I appreciate anything you can tell me...so I can have my local garage guys fix it for me...

All I can say is what a rip off all this emissions stuff is...You have to spend a minimum of 660 dollars in order to get an exeption to this emissions stuff from the garages of their choice.

So I want to take the cheaper way out which will be enough money I'm sure.

Thanks everybody for any feedback.

i don't think it has an O2 sensor. check the vacuum hoses for cracks also check the egr valve and passages to makes sure the valve is working good.

it should have an o2 sensor, all cars do, but i dont know much about emissions, but a tune up and an o2 sensor and checking the other stuff that guy said would be good, especially the egr.

O2 sensor on exhaust manifold, I think.
Buy a fuel additive called GTP(Guarenteed to pass).
