can not open door

I have a 94 explorer drviers side back door can not open from inside or outside, I have managed to get inside trim off and I haved sprayed wd40 in the latch but I still can't get door open. I had removed the power lock rod thought maybe that wasn't letting it unlock. the handle rods move freely but it just will not open or even move alittle. any help would be great.

You may want to try the Explorer forum, this is the Jeep forum.

But it sounds like the door handles have become unhooked from the latch mechanism; check to see if there are any parts in the bottom of the door, and see where they came from and replace.
