My truck is a 1996 4x4 Jimmy, 4.3 Vortec V6
Today it was warmer, 80 degrees. Drove about 10 miles highway and city, when I go to speed up it hesitates to shift into 2nd and there is a loud whooshing noise coming from the air intake, very little power. Everything on intake is tight, no leaks, can anyone think of what it could be or anyone had a similar problem. Thanks in advance! |

Exhaust sounds like it normally does, (I have hollow cat and turbo muffler), but no unusal smell... I left work after I posted and it ran fine, this seems to happen off and on for some reason
, could it be something to do with fuel delivery???Thanks |

Re: Delayed Shift/Loud Intake Noise
The whooshing noise could be the fan clutch engaging when it shouldn't be.
