Domestic tail lights? wtf is my friend talkin about?

Hey everyone, The other day me and my buddy were racing around and goofin off and my friend noticed that when i put my blinkers on, they blink much faster then his pontiac formula and other z28's that he's seen. He seemed to think the previous owner did something with the tail lights...just wondering if anyone had any clue what he's talking about...although i did notice they both blinked awfully quick (but not too quick as to indicate the bulbs are ready to go). They were also blinking faster than his formula. This isn't a big deal, but just curious if anyone could help

From what I've heard if the lights blink fast their is some type of mis-wiring. I know its vague.
Usually, when you see the front light blink fast, the back light is wired wrong and vice versa. In my experience.

Perhaps the wrong bulb was put in, that can do it to.

Re: Domestic tail lights? wtf is my friend talkin about?

did you check all the bulbs to make sure they work??

A burnt out bulb in the front sometimes leads to a fast blinking bulb in the back

Every blinker seems to be working fine...can't really figure it out. The only thing that comes to mind is that the original taillights aren't on the car anymore. They look slightly different, but who knows, maybe i'm over-analyzing it. It's really no big deal...i just thought others may have a problem similarly. If anything else new comes to mind or is noticed i'll hit up a reply.

My 96 Eldo did that for a long while and then just quit doing it with no changes!? Did it only on left though. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Re: Domestic tail lights? wtf is my friend talkin about?

I thought that when a turn signal bulb burned out in most GM's the blinker just stayed on...

Re: Domestic tail lights? wtf is my friend talkin about?

I'm not sure I know that when one of mine burned out, it stayed on and somebody told me that was normal, at least for GM's
