Unhappy 96 Z34 low coolant light on - WHY?

I have a 96 Monte Z34, i have had nothing but repairs since i bought it in 2000. Lucky for me i got the extended warrenty on it and that covered the multiple injectors going bad and being replaced, the power windows frying out, the altenator, the water pump, and a few other things, all within the first month of owning it. Well now i dont have a warrenty, and i have put over $5000 in it getting it repaired, the most expensive was the rear break system, and the transmission case. I am a single mom with crummy credit so i cant just go get a new car, but the problem that i am having now is the low coolant light keeps coming off and on, and the temp guage goes way up, then comes down. I have checked the coolant and it seems fine. My left turn signal also has stopped working, and its not the fuse. Any ideas? Let me tell you, this car has really turned me off of Chevy's. I would love any help!
Thanks

sounds like you need to purge the air from coolant system. there should be two brass nuts to loosen ,1 on the left front of engine, the other right apast the thermostat. the air will make your temp guage go crazy. you may have a little leak also for the light to come on. i have over 100,000 on my car and other than the waterpump and thermostat, its been great. knock wood. god luck
