How can I tell if the Intake gasket has been changed?

Hello! I would look where the intake manifold mates with the engine block,Also look where intake manifold mates with the heads.Look for replaced hoses, vacume hoses, hose clamps.Take note how clean the area is around intake manifold. Is there alot of miles on your van? I might have to replace mine sooon,As I have discovered engine coolant on my oil cap during the last oil change.I have over 172,000 on my van.For now I will have to get by on putting a sealer in my engine (aluma seal works best),As I am in the process of buying my first home. The I can take the time to tear my engine down.(I will finally have a garage to work in!!) Good luck!! Let me know what you find..diesel1962..
