2000 sonata 2.4L (Bad engine)

Hi all,

Quick question… Need to replace engine in 2.4L 2000 Sonata and wanted to know if an engine from a 2002 or 2003 Santa Fe will fit and/or work for the Sonata?

If yes, are there any pros/cons to buying a different engine other than the original model?

Thanks in advance for any assistance on this issue.
