map sensor

i checked my ecu today and it was blinking a code 5 which is the map sensor. so does anybody know how to troubleshoot it and where is it located. if anybody has any pics of it that would help.

check all the vaccum lines going to it, make sure they are all hooked up with no cracks and in the right spots. The MAP sensor is located on the firewall of the engine bay.

is it noticeably visible or do i have to hunt for it

oh i have a d series engine so if anybody knows what it looks like send some pics of the map sensor

Look at the picture. That's exactly how it sits up on the firewall right behind the intake manifold.

That is a D series map sensor. The map sits right above the charcoal canister on thef irewall, its really not that hard to find. Alittle bit to the left of the intake manifold when facing the front of the car.
