Re: Race Stubs!

Everyone is confused!! He didn't claim it's right there!! But how you ask...how could a mid 13 car run an 11 second 1/4 mile...why thats impossible!! But let's wait for an explanation...my guess is it wasn't a 1/4 mile, or he's running mods and fooled the track ppl.

Re: Race Stubs!

there is no way you ran a 11.7 with a stock stealth. Do you honestly think we would fall for that? Go home.

There is definitely mods on a 3/s to get 11.7

Re: Race Stubs!

knew this was gonna happen lol

yes there is a mod but the track can not tell until u get to the line - an ur car starts goin bub bub bub bub bub.... the mod i used allowed me to start off with the car at fool boost an keep my foot to the floor while shifting ... u set it at a certain rpm when u want u car to blow off so its spooled up before u get into the next gear... so basically its like driving as u would an auto with ur foot always floored yet u shift. an your turbos are always puttin out the max they are set to- i will show u a pic k

ok basically its operated by a clutch pedal mounted switch that uses a RISC microprocessor running at 4MHz to cut both fuel and spark 40times a second to limit power. Both fuel and spark need to be cut in EFI Cars for the following reasons:

:Fuel must be cut to prevent raw unburnt fuel going through the engine and destroying the cat converter.
:Spark is also cut in the same cycle so that any remaining unburnt fuel will not ignite and cause lean burn ( lean out can cause piston damage )

Once setup you can hold the throttle open(foot floored)and build almost maximum boost on start line launches and hold the throttle open ((foot floored)during gear changes which will help keep the turbo spooled.

so u pull up to the tree an to people it either sounds like my car was gonna blow up or it was goin to stall. cause it makes u car sound like this babababa....! until u launch then the car takes off like a bastard aslong you have tires that are not balled an are gonna spin.

Re: Race Stubs!

Wierd, never heard of somthing like that, so you just turn it on and off any time? Dosent sound safe to me since you'd run lean for a sec once the fuel is cut but theres still all the air going in.

Re: Race Stubs!

Well that would mean you hold the record for the fastest vr4/rt-tt on stock 9b turbos in the US, and possibly in the world. As currently as far as I knew -1badvr4- on 3si held it with a 11.881 @ 116, and he did that with alot of bolt-ons, tuning, and nitrous.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/jasonh52281

On top of that, I've never heard of this thing, and if it works such wonders, I'm curious as to why nobody else seems to have heard of it, used it, have it in their sigs, or praise it's wonderous results.
So...let's simply say I'm still quite skeptical...

Re: Race Stubs!

oh boy - why did i even bother starting a simple thread on just post your stubs with a lil info -
think what u want alright....
sorry but i didnt mean to get myself interogated cause of this ...
The device is not acually sold in the us an it prob. wont be unless someone makes a replica / ect....
It is not a well know tool - it is more or less heard of by mouth/or should we an under the table electronic device.
an thourun your correct it is kind of a risk using the device if you do not set it properly an mis-use it...
I was told where i bought it that is hit or miss unless you have proffesional knowledge on how it works an how to properly set it. Luckly my friend Chris works for Porsche&Ruf (Ruf for your info is not a model or a factory car-its a modified porsche line designed by Alois Ruf-they are sweet cars wouldnt mind having one) he builds in their race engine dept. he is cert. an has a proffesional title. He is part in the builds of $100k+ engines for the racing team of porsche -
He took my car for a day to make sure it was workin properly an tuned so i did not wreck my engine.. i am not sure of anything else electronically altered after i got the vehicle back - but he explained the way it is set up an how to operate an dis-arm it. I got the car back an it felt like a completely different car - the power thrust is intense. It makes my car run @ high powerband throughout the entire RPM spectrum... normally u feel the cars maxium power start beyond 3k rpm this allows it to run with that amount of power an torque as soon as u launch...
The only thing i am fearing is breaking something like an CV joint/a driveshalf or a few teeth on the spline...
Nothing bad yet been installed for a few years - i dont use it on the street only arm it when at the track..... if you want i will go run an see what i get now - in oct. the air is cold crisp an your fuel is denser everything your engine needs to perform better....
I guess i am sorry for posting this - i didnt mean for it to be such a issue....

Re: Race Stubs!

dont be sorry, you just gotta understand that people are gonna want some proof, a video or something
because even if you could shift perfectly without loosing any time, or lets say if you could shift as fast as a auto with a manual launch, 11.7 still sounds rediculous
i'd easily beleive 12.7 but 11.7, means your running times of a srt-10 and a lamborghini mercialgo with stock 9b turbo's

gotta admit thats near impossible to beleive

Re: Race Stubs!

ya i guess i see the point but i tryed to explain what was allowing it. an i took a picture of my slip... i have no way to enter video - my computer is from 1997 an lol i never planned on buyin a new one- i just upgrade the windows - i am still using a 500 mhz processor with 64mb P100 ram... lol - i dont know anyone with the video tech. on there computer to run video from there tape. any how i asked if they want me to go run it again when its nice out an the track is open.

so i duno - thats why i said think what u want what more explaining can i do.

the electronics might seem to amazing - an apparently nobody has discovered them here - ah well....
