Shock Selection
95 Talon TSI AWD
i've been lookin at suspension systems for the past few weeks and i've decided to get some ground control coilovers but there are different setups that they run with, like different brands of shocks. my question is, what shocks are the best? i plan on having a pretty high horsepower car which i'll probably be taking to the track at least a few times and i want to lower it a little bit, and i think i should get some aftermarket shocks as long as i'm taking the suspension out, but i was wondering what's the best to use in this situation? |

Re: Shock Selection
I use tociko Illuminas, but it seems Konis are probably the best off the shelf shock, or so I hear from people that know a lot more about suspension that I do. I would go with Konis if I did it again. The spring rate has to match the shock valving, and tocikos are somewhat overpowered even at the relatively low 450/325 spring rates I run.

Re: Shock Selection
would you suggest adjustable or non-adjustable ones?

Re: Shock Selection
Adjustables. They will have more range than the NAs, and you need that to be able to control a stiffer spring.
