Hey man, I had an '89 Ford Probe turbo for 9 years & 163, 000 miles, can't complain about that. Wait-that was actually a Mazda. Hmmm...

I know it isn't recent, but my dad bought a '65 Mustang brand new in high school. He then almost immediately had to buy a Chevy truck to tow it when it broke down every week. Hasn't bought a Ford since then, and never will. Plus, he works for GM now. Anyways, working at a dealership, I see a lot more horrow stories with Fords and Chryslers than I do with any other car line.

First, it was because the car was junk. Plus, how can a brand new car break down all the time because of the person. It was never modified in any way.

A brand new car can be driven like shit by a very ignorant and very wreckless driver. It can wear down the engine by Redlining it and missing shifts.... It's easy to screw up a car without modding it....

don't necessarly blame the car, blame the driver.

don't get me wrong, the car can be a lemon, but it's a bunch of garbage to hate an entire company because of one experiance that was negative in a car. If what you are trying to argue is true, then no one would drive anything. You will not ever find a car with NO problems EVER. That's why God made auto parts stores.

I put about 35k miles on my last car, 99 Ford Escort ZX2, in a period of just under a year and never had anything malfunction other than a change of tires. I took my parents' 98 Ford Taurus 18k miles in less than seven months, hitting the 100k mark, and only had to change the tires. IMO, Ford isnt half bad.
