Difference between 99 and 00 and 01 engines

can anybody tell me what the difference is between the 97-99 cherokee engines and the 00-01. when ever i go to look for parts (mostly performance parts) they usually have them for 97-99 but not for 00-01.

From what I know there isn't much of a difference between the two periods of interest. As a matter of fact between 1992 - 2001, the engines were either only fuel injected 2.5L 4cylinder or inline 6cylinder 4.0L HO. Unless someone else knows otherwise, I think those are the only differences.
