Please Help!!!

okay heres the deal. I just bought a 99ex civic and it has an annoying autometer tach on the dash.the tach works good but i hate it with a passion. i have been studying it to try and figure the best way to take it out but i havent figured it out yet. it is just two small screws holding it in the dash.What would be the best way to try and take it out as far a the wires? should i just throw them in the back of my dash and not worry about them or should i completely unistall everything? Also i know there is going to be a dent and a hole from where it has been sitting any suggestion on what to do with that?? Please help any advice would be most grateful. Those shift lights arent safe for driving at night they completely blind you untill you shift. Thanks

Youll want to take the wires completely out, if you just unplug em from your tach and stuff them in your dash your going to have live wires sitting in your dash, if those wires hit the rpm wire you could short out your ecu or your stock rpm gauge, id assume.

And if you want you can give it to me for free since ive been wanting a shift light and im broke so i cant afford one
