crank sensor location
where is the crank sensor located on the 2.0 dohc. I have a friend that has a no start problem(gets fuel to rail and has spark) told him to check crank sensor. He recently changed motors and thought maybe he didn't plug it in. I showed him where the crank sensor was located on my 1.9 but he told me that its not located in the same place. Any help? thanks

Re: crank sensor location
on a zetec? SPI is:
passenger side of the car, rear side of the engine (firewall side) right next to the crank pulley. Kinda angled up. Zetec, I don't know though. Any more information on this "no start" condition? |

Re: crank sensor location
The crank sensor on the Zetec takes a reading off of the flywheel and not the crank pully like the SOHC do. It's on the front of the motor, faceing the back side of the flywheel.
But I would check the timing belt first. |
