JIC-Magic Coilover

Ok, here are the pictures for the JIC Coilovers for the P11 Primera.
Installation was a breeze.
After the install, the first thing I noticed is that the car doens dive or squat when accelerating/braking, allows me to take corners smoother and faster. The suspension is very stiff, the spring rate is 10kg/cm at the front and 8kg/cm at the rear...super stiff!! The size of the piston rod is about three times as thick compared to the TEIN ones and the whole thing is about an 1.5inches shorter than the TEIN unit. The result? AMAZING!!!
Although I havent test it on a track yet (July 7th I'll be at Streets of Willow) while driving around the streets, i dont not feel any understeer taking corners. I have tremendous controll of my car and the JIC unit is very very responsive. Turn in response is uncomparable to the TEINs, the car had little sway even in the hardest turns and as I go faster into each turn, it made me realize i can go even faster the next time around.
Final word, the TEINs are nice....it's the perfect street set up with VERY soft ride (even on stiff settings) and allows you to feel sporty with the car. The JIC are race coilovers. I love the stiffness and the performance of it is just amazing. I will let you guys know how it did on the track and compare the lap times between the TEINs and the JIC...the JIC will yield far better lap times.
Enjoy the pics

JIC thumbs up.
TEIN thumbs down.
Notice the springs for the JIC compared to the TEIN...can you say short and stiff?
Also notice how short the JIC is compared to the TEIN. Suspension travel also increased for the rear despite the shorter length of the unit. (picture is the front ones)

lookin goood!!! looks like a trophie. those JICs are probably comparable more to the TypeHA's or TypeRA's. My HA's with upper pillow mounts on my 98 Prelude are much better quality than the TypeNA's, no doubt. the NA's are more for dressup, imo. NA's are working great on my G since it's just for looks.

the stiff ride does feel good, don' it? let us know how many sec you knock off at the track. the upper pillow mounts do improve the overall handling of the car. gets rid of that squashy feeling. are you getting any spring compression noises from the pillow mounts?

ok, so when is G-force gonna get himself a set of them REAL coilovers??! gahahahahaha. j/k

Talking JIC Magic Coilovers

So.. who carries them, where do I buy them? C'mon, don't hoar these things all to yourself! For those who remember me, the Team Dynamics are off the car, another CF hood is on the horizon. I saw the post that I dropped off the face of the earth and haven't updated my webpage.. I have been planning mercilessely to upgrade the car, its just the amount of cash I spent last year on the car made a dent in the wallet ya know? Lemme know about the coilovers puhlease. Also, I have a set of 17x7 one piece Racing Hart C2's I am looking to get rid of, I got them then didn't like the look so time to try a different set of wheels.

The TEIN Type NA is not just for dress up...it's the PERFECT street suspension. Nice ride and GREAT handling performance over the stock set up and it's the best for street wise.
The JIC coilovers are also better than the TEIN Type HA/HR version mainly because of better piston and valves inside the struts.
Zerogee....I beieve this is Henry? This is Luke and remember the shop that I run? I can get EVERYTHING, espeically Japanese stuff.
Let me know!
b00gie....hahaha...*Disclaimer* (The TEIN Type NA Suspension belongs to Mr. b00gie, any misuse, misplace, misrepresentation, misconduct, misreplication of the above photographs will followed by legal action that is conductable through Mr. b00gie's personal decision)
ok...so i am not a freaking lawyer heheheh

haha..what are you smoking viet-G20.....they are JIC coilovers...thus those are JIC springs.
I think besides b00gie, no one knows what suspension these are....the JIC are only available in Japan up until couple of month ago. They have their own race team in Japan and competes in various Japanese races such as the JTCC, N1 cups, Japanese GT league.

welcome back henry!! hehe...

you can get the JIC coilovers through Luke (G22DET).... he runs www.digitalracer.com they're one of the FEW shops that started retailing the coilovers. JIC finally got a US distributor a few months ago and they got their first shipment of orders last month.

JIC makes top of the line racing suspensions in Japan. I was thinking of getting these, but they are pretty damn stiff!!! I dont mind a stiff ride at all, but there's sooooo many potholes and horrible roads near me that I cant get this setup at this time...

I used to run the Koni/GC setup like Henry but found that a tad stiff on the bumps and a little squeeky... the Teins are supposedly the best street ride as they feel like a stock suspension, but lower and more suspension travel. The Teins are height adjustable, but not by a threaded sleeve, you must select the height before loading the spring. If I ever move to a smoother area, I'll probably get the JIC's...

btw Henry, I've done almost $5000 worth of business with Luke in the past 2 months.. he can get anything, and is dependable...

peace..
