If I want to mount 16 inch stock alloy wheels on an SR5 4runner that originally had 15's is there any other differences with the vehicle that would cause problems (larger brakes/rotors, different suspension, different lug patterns).

Re: 4runner rims 16
The brake rotors that came with 4Runners with 16" rims do have a larger diameter than those that came with 15's.
After I swapped 245/75R 16's on a 2000 base 4Runner that came with 15" rims, I have not had any problems as far as braking power, stopping speed, rotor warping etc... I think it's a good bet, but negligible as far as drive quality. But larger wheels always make a truck look better - especially the 4Runner. |
