Expected Water Pump Life?

99 3.8L SEL with 155 kmiles.

I know I've been pushing my luck on the serpertine belt. Still on the original. So this summer I plan to replace belt along with take-up and idler pulleys;

But what about the water pump? I don't want to make extra work and expense for myself... but just how long will this pump last? I would appreciate some histories...

Anyone had any water pump failures?

It seems anymore, years of service mean more than mileage on a water pump. 6yrs isn't much. Being out in the elements, hot/cold cycling mean alot. 155K on a 1999? You do LOTS of driving!!!
G/luck
