94 LHS Security System Light intermittant

The blinking security light on top of the dash under the windshield doesn't want to work all the time when put into "lock mode." It might work for two weeks, then not work for the next two weeks. What is causing this? Is it an easy fix? Everything else with the system appears to be working. I would appreciate help on this one. Thanks.

If using the remote transmitter to arm the alarm does the horn still beep once when the light does not work? If unsure try this test.

Next time you notice that the light is not working, test the alarm system to see if it is still operational, roll down a window and lock the doors using the power lock switch or the remote transmitter, wait for a little more than minute for the system to arm and then reach in and open the door from the inside and see if it sets off the alarm. If the alarm still works then all you might need to do is replace the light on the dash, if it doesn't work then the problem might go a little deeper than just the light.

Yes, the remote transmitter does arm the system, and the horn does sound once when armed. As soon as the snow storm stops up here, I'll go out and try the test you suggested. We picked up 8 new inches since it started at noon today.
