Angry Hard starting

98 Astro starts intermittently. It seems to not start after driving or when it is warmer out, like midday or summertime. The whole winter it ran fine. Today it was warmer out and the problem has started again. It starts for 1 sec then dies. This can last from 4 to 24hrs. Then it runs fine. I checked it when it did not start: I used starter fluid and it ran, so it seems to be getting a spark. I checked the fuel pressure and it had 60 – 53 lbs. p.s.i. and the fuel pump ran several seconds. There was a pretty good flow out of the bleeder tube of the gauge. I am getting no codes back. If anyone has any ideas or a similar experience please respond. Thanks.

Re: Hard starting

Maybe something to look at, the computer lets the pump run for 2 seconds, by which time the secondary power for the pump keeps it running. this is controlled by the oil pressure sensor. (no oil pressure, then no fuel pump.) So maybe you've got a defective oil pressure sensor or relay.
