Dome Override
For some reason, I always have to have my dome override button pushed in, or my interior lights will be on, no matter what. I don't like this because my interior lights don't come on when I open my doors, and If I deselect the override, the lights are always on, no matter if the door is opened, closed, or anything else for that matter. What is the problem?

Re: Dome Override
Sounds like a door switch. Start with the one on the drivers door.

Re: Dome Override
Most likely, one of the switches is shorted to ground internally. Disconnect them one at a time to see which one is keeping it on. Don't forget the rear hatch.

Re: Dome Override
How long do you wait for the dome light to go out? I don't use my dome light because when the switch is set for it to come on it enables anyone walking by to turn on the interior light just by lifting the door handle.
However when I did use it when I first got the truck I noticed that it didn't go out right away, like it had some kind of delay function. |

Re: Dome Override
Is it a female dog to get these door jamb switches out?
