Instruction for removing galant 2000 stereo

I had my stereo security code activited due to my battery lossing charge. I called the dealer to find the code. He has asked me to pull the stereo out and let him know the serial number. I do not know how to remove the plastic piece to get to pull out the stereo. I would appreciate some help on how to take out the stereo. If someone can provide me steps I should follow to remove it , I will be obliged.

Thanks

Well if your car is like mine (2001 galant) all you have to do is pull on the plastic trim that surrounds the radio and climate controls. It pops right off after a little tugging. The radio mayb have 2 screws on it (mine didnt) that you must take off. After that pull that sucker out just enough to read the serial number on top.

Just went through this 2 months ago.New car without radio code.
